Kris is originally from Washington, D.C. and has been fortunate enough to have lived in many other places since then – San Diego and Australia being the most recent. While working on a yacht in Croatia in 2005 as a Steward, she met her husband who was the boat’s First Mate. They now have two children, an 11 year old daughter and 5 year old son.
Kris is an avid triathlete and spends many hours training and travelling for races near and far. She’s been in the Group Fitness Industry since 1990 and has many certifications and a strong training background. Barre method, interval training, fusion classes and cycling are her favorite formats to teach. Currently, Kris is getting classically trained in Pilates on the reformer. She also enjoys kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, reading and spending quality time with her children.
Kris’s passion for teaching stems from her desire to motivate others to set goals, keep them on track to show up for class and watch their results unfold over time. You can usually find her at Tribe, bright and early, enjoying her coffee before her 5:30 am crowd arrives.
